| 2013 | Fort Dearborn acquires FetterGroup's paint & coatings label business. |
| 2010 | KRG Capital Partners becomes Fort Dearborn's largest investor. |
| 2007 | Fort Dearborn acquires Renaissance Mark. The acquisition combines the two leading supplier of "cut & stack" labels and expands Fort Dearborn's scale and presence as a premier label supplier.

| 2006 | Genstar Capital, a private equity firm, acquires Fort Dearborn. After evaluation of opportunties in the decorative label industry, Fort Dearborn is selected as the most attractive platform company.

| 2005 | Fort Dearborn begins evolving from a small, family run organization to a larger, professionally managed organization with several key positions appointed with industry talent.

| 2002 | Fort Dearborn acquires Coastal Sleeve Label, a progressive producer of shrink sleeve labels for the food, beverage and consumer product industries.

| 1998 | Fort Dearborn introduces the HiColour printing process to the label industry, which expands the color gamut by eliminating the need for spot colors.

| 1995 | Digital printing capabilities are added at Fort Dearborn in response to customer needs for shorter run size projects and prototyping.

| 1980 | Fort Dearborn focuses on label converting.

| 1963 | When Nick passes away unexpectedly, Tom assumes role of President of Fort Dearborn.

| 1960s | Fort Dearborn continues to grow as Nick’s sons, Tom, Jerry and Richard, all join the company.

| 1942 | The US Government asks Fort Dearborn to print top-secret, strategic topographic maps for the War Department, garnering many commendations for this effort.

| 1930s | Fort Dearborn begins carving a niche in label production for food and beverage products.

| 1925 | Fort Dearborn Company is founded by Nick Adler Jr. Following an apprenticeship in Milwaukee, Nick used his $6000 life savings, and a matching loan from his father, to open a one press shop in Chicago, Illinois. |
