The HiColour Process

Our 7-color process consists of cyan, magenta, yellow and black plus orange, green and violet inks. Stochastic screening is used instead of conventional line screening, providing superior visual appearance of color and imagery.

Our plants have been using the HiColour printing process since 1998, providing critical mass in creating combination sheets.

The conversion to HiColour printing has never been easier! Fort Dearborn utilizes Kodak’s Spotless workflow software to easily convert your PDF label file to HiColour so your designers can continue to use standard file formats when creating your labels.

 

Available Substrates

Fort Dearborn offers a variety of cut & stack label substrates to meet the performance characteristics of your label. We can cost effectively print your labels on standard coated 1 and 2 sided papers, or other substrates you may request such as synthetic, wet-strength or metallized papers.
