Fort Dearborn's HiColour System
Enjoy enhanced shelf impact and cost savings from using Fort Dearborn’s unique HiColour 7-color process printing.
Increase Your Product's Impact
Design concepts are no longer compromised by the inherent limitations of conventional printing. Your label designs can now include more special PMS colors, resulting in increased shelf impact for your products. Our 7-color process simulates over 90% of all solid PMS colors.
The HiColour Process
Our 7-color process consists of cyan, magenta, yellow and black plus orange, green and violet inks. Stochastic screening is used instead of conventional line screening, providing superior visual appearance of color and imagery.
Our plants have been using the HiColour printing process since 1998, providing critical mass in creating combination sheets.
Opportunity for Cost Savings
Fort Dearborn’s HiColour process can save you both time and money. By eliminating the need for special PMS colors, your labels can be printed on combination sheets, allowing for shorter print runs, quicker lead times and lower inventory volumes.
No Redesign to Current File Designs
The conversion to HiColour printing has never been easier! Fort Dearborn utilizes Kodak’s Spotless workflow software to easily convert your PDF label file to HiColour so your designers can continue to use standard file formats when creating your labels.
Fort Dearborn offers a variety of cut & stack label substrates to meet the performance characteristics of your label. We can cost effectively print your labels on standard coated 1 and 2 sided papers, or other substrates you may request such as synthetic, wet-strength or metallized papers.
